Spirit is a self-publishing book platform, whether published as Fanfictions or Original Stories.
In order to maintain a safe and comfortable environment, there are some guidelines that must be followed.

Be aware that every story published here must be in accordance with the Brazilian Law.
The materials added to this platform are published by its users. Therefore, in accordance with the Marco Civil (Law nº 12.965/2014), the platform has no responsibility for them.
Irregular content that violates our guidelines and/or the Brazilian Law must be reported to our Report Center. You can report an irregular content by clicking on the three dots on the top of the screen and selecting the “report” option. The report must be detailed, therefore, you must provide us with the proofs needed so our staff can analyze your claims on the reported content.
The individual, being a legal entity or a natural person, can, and should, seek other means to safeguard their rights in cases of crimes or unlawful acts being committed against them.
Spirit has no power, obligations or duties outside its platform.
Spirit has no power to carry out criminal investigations or apply any legal sanctions. Only the legal and competent authorities can carry out criminal investigations and apply legal sanctions.
Content Guidelines
I - Any content posted in this platform is under the responsibility of the user who posted it, under the law as well as in accordance with our terms of use and guidelines, that were previously accepted by the user.
II - You are not allowed to post any content (or any content translation) that was not written by yourself, with or without the original author’s permission. The user who publishes any content that violates another person’s copyrights will have their account banned from this platform.
III - It is prohibited to publish on this platform any content that, regardless of age rating, defends, encourages readers, glorifies, demonstrates in a positive way and/or trivializes the following:
a. The abuse and violence against children and teenagers. In other words, it is prohibited to post any content that narrates in a positive or detailed way sexual insinuation or sexual intercourse as well as sexual abuse and violence against individuals under 18 years old, by demonstrating in a positive way any of these acts/behaviors. If the abusive/sexual behavior is held against children under 14, the violation is agravated.
b. The rape of vulnerable and the abuse of incapacitated. In other words, it is prohibited to post any content that narrates in a positive or detailed way sexual intercourse or sexual insinuation as well as sexual abuse or violence against an individual that, due to physical or mental illness, can not understand, consent or resist the sexual/violent act;
c. Rape. In other words, it is prohibited to post any content that portrays in a positive or detailed way a non-consensual intercourse;
d. Suicide, self-harm and self-abuse. In other words, it is prohibited to post any content that portrays in a positive or detailed way, that glorifies, defends or trivializes suicidal acts, self-harming (physical or psycologial) or eating disorders;
e. Criminal conduct and violence. In other words, it is prohibited to post any content that portrays in a positive way, that glorifies or encourages criminal practices, instigating the readers to commit any crime.
f. Racism, discrimination or hate speech. In other words, it is prohibited to post any content that encourages or instigates violence or discrimination agains any ethnic group, nationality, religion beliefs, disability, illness, gender identity, sexual orientation or age range;
g. The drug abuse. In other words, it is prohibited to post any content that portrays in a positive or detailed way, that glorifies, instigates or stimulates the use of drugs.
h. Abuse and violence against animals. In other words, it is prohibited to post any content that portrays in a positive or detailed way abuse or violence against animals.
i. Cruel, insensitive and immoral acts. In other words, it is prohibited to post any content that portrays in a positive or detailed way any act that is considered severely cruel, insensitive or immoral;
j. Illegal or immoral sex acts, such as bestiality or necrophilia. In other words, it is prohibited to post any content that portrays in a positive or detailed way these acts.
Contents with any of the mentioned above will be removed and their author will receive a warning or will be banned from the platform, depending on the severity of the case or the recurrence.
IV - It’s prohibited to misuse the comment section. In other words, you are not allowed to post any offensive or inappropriate content into someone else’s comment section. You are also not allowed to advertise (spam practice) on other user’s content, that is, spread stories links or other websites links through someone else’s comment section. The author may be jointly liable for the misuse of the comment section of their own content if they also participate in the irregular act or omit (do not remove or report them) in order to benefit from any popularity ranks. The reader's comments will be removed and the author's story may be removed and all the offenders users may receive a warning or be banned from the platform, depending on the severity of the case and/or recurrence.
V - To offend other members on the platform, whether they are regular users or the staff, may lead the aggressor to receive a warning or get banned from the platform, depending on the severity of the case of the recurrence.
VI - It is prohibited to offer products (sweepstakes, gifts, etc.) in your content or in any other section of your profile (such as your timeline) in order for readers to add your content to their favorite list, rate it or leave comments. These acts will result in the story being removed from the platform and its author may receive a warning or be banned from the platform, depending on the severity of the case or recurrence.
VII - It is prohibited to use this platform with commercial purposes without a prior authorization from Spirit. This act will result in the story being removed from the platform and its author may receive a warning or be banned from the platform, depending on the severity of the case or recurrence.
VIII - It is prohibited to misuse the Report Center and the Stories Publish System. In other words, you are not allowed to use any section of the story (author's notes, final notes, story/chapter section or comment section) to instigate/encourage people to make multiple reports on the same content. The user that does as such will have their story removed from the platform and will receive a warning or get banned from the platform, depending on the severity of the case or the recurrence.
1. Content
1.1 - You are allowed to publish literary works, such as prose, poetries or screenplays. It is forbidden to publish non-literary works, such as images, news, reviews, scientific articles, etc.
Contents that are not in the allowed literary formats will be removed and their author may receive a warning or be banned from the platform, depending on the severity of the case or the recurrence.
1.2 - For notes or thankfulness speech, use preferably the “Author’s Note” or the “Final Notes” section.
1.3 - Links can only be published in the Author's notes or Final Notes sections. Links in the synopsis and/or story/chapter sections may cause the story/chapters to be edited or removed from the platform.
1.4 - You are not allowed to publish any content that is entirely written in languages that are not available in our publish form. Both synopsis and chapters must be published in the selected language.
1.5 - The synopsis is a mandatory field and it should contain a brief summary or a short excerpt of your story. The synopsis, tags, as well as the title of your story and chapters cannot (regardless the age rating):
a. contain inappropriate and/or offensive content;
b. be written in uppercase (except in cases of acronyms);
c. contain too much of special characters or characters that are not from the selected language (such as kanjis), including emojis;
Any content that contains irregular synopsis, tags, title or chapter’s title may be edited or removed from the platform and its author may receive a warning or be banned from the platform, depending on the severity of the case or recurrence.
2. Images
2.1 - Story/Chapter(s) covers are optional and, regardless of the content age rating, you are not allowed to use images that:
a. speak in favor of crimes;
b. contain sexual, obscene or erotic content;
c. contain partial, total, disguised or censored nudity;
d. offend morals;
e. may cause psychological discomfort, such as mutilations, self-harm, dead bodies, blood, etc;
f. violate third-parties copyrights;
Stories that contain irregular covers (either in the story or in its chapters) may be edited or removed from the platform and the user may receive a warning or be banned from the platform, depending on the severity of the case or recurrence.
3. Categories
3.1 - Your content should be preferably published in the category it belongs. If the category is not available on the platform, you can suggest it to be added through our Support Center. You can also add your content into any other category that is available in which your content fits as well as publish it in the “Original Stories” category, using the tags to signalize the category/characters.
4. Content Rating
4.1 - Contents suitable for mature audiences as well as erotic contents must be rated 18+;
4.2 - Contents containing non-explicit/suggestive sexual material must be rated 16+;
4.3 - Your stories must be classified according to their genres, warnings, tags and content, under the penalty of being edited or removed from the platform, depending on the severity of the case or recurrence;
5. Formatting
5.1 - You can use emojis in your text in short excerpts simulating text-messages via smartphones or computers;
5.2 - Works with low quality writing, in which excessive mistakes can difficult the understanding of the text, may be edited or removed from the platform, depending on the severity of the case or recurrence;
6 - Final dispositions
These guidelines contain only a few examples of the provided in our Terms of Use, so they do not exempt you from fully reading them.
By agreeing with these Terms of Use and Guidelines, I take full responsibility for the content that I add on Spirit and I am susceptible, in case of noncompliance with them, to the penalties and sanctions of the Spirit Administration Staff or even Civil and Criminal penalties and Sanctions provided by the Brazilian Law.
If the user is a minor, their legal guardian will be responsible for their actions.
Recurrent violations of these Guidelines or of our Terms of Use may lead the user being banned from this platform. The Spirit Administration Staff has the total right to edit/remove any content that violates our Terms of Use and Content Guidelines without any previous explanation being given.
