História Oria's Battle - Prologue

Once upon a time, in the province of Veldaine, lived Castor Hayden Sterling, the thirtieth king of Oria. He lived happily with his Queen, Alyssa Jane Brigiria, who was a palace maid, but his one true love.

    A year after their marriage, Alyssa had a healthy baby boy. He had sparkling green eyes, and his smile was as bright as the sun. The couple adored him, cherished him with their utmost love. Four years later, the Queen gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She had a quiet, serene face of an angel, and could often be seen laughing joyously, as her older brother tickled her and made goofy faces. The Queen had her final child three years later, the noisiest one amongst the three, who was a night owl and gave everyone eyebags.

   As their children grew up and matured, the couple became more loving to each other. The year of her son's eighteen birthday, Alyssa died due to an unnatural cause. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that the Crown Prince, Leon, was the cause behind it.

     The first Princess was in disbelief. Leon had always been caring to his mother. She just knew that he was innocent. And he was.

    The King, being in an extreme stage of grief and rage, accepted the offer one of his trusted royal councillors suggested, and expelled Leon. And dethroned him. He was never going to be called Prince Leon. He was never to step foot into Oria ever again.

    Ever since Alyssa's death, Castor's caring and jokey attitude had disappeared, and he lost himself in his work. More so, after Leon was expelled and dethroned.

    Several years later, it was the king himself who had fallen into a severe state of illness. He had to find a replacement to do his job while he recovered. It was a clear memory, the then alive queen urging him to be careful about who he picked, before she drew her final breath. Not investigating his queen's words, was one of the king's greatest oversight.

    Little did he know, Oria's history during his reign was just getting started.
