História Patience - Chapter One

Hi, my name is Lilac Thompson, I'm 17 years old, my birthday is on Valentine's Day, unfortunately, I never talk to anyone, it's not that I can't talk, I'm just very shy, I have shattered confidence, people must have thought that I was so rude when they talked to me because I never spoke, I'd just give them a shy nodded or wave.

My favourite group is Guns ‘n’ Roses, I look up to all of the members of GnR but I think my favourite line up has to be the most well known line up, that consists of Axl Rose (Lead vocals), Steven Adler (Drums), Slash (Lead guitar), Izzy Stradlin (Rhythm guitar) and Duff McKagan (Bass guitar), Slash is my all time favourite member, he's so cute and adorable, I love his wild curly hair, my favourite Album is their debut album Appetite for Destruction, and my top three songs are Sweet Child O’ Mine, Paradise City and Welcome to the Jungle.

If I could have any dream come true it would be to perform with GnR but I have shattered confidence and low self-esteem, I play Lead Guitar, Bass guitar, Rhythm guitar and drums but I don't think I'm any good, despite what my Mum says.

I walked home after school, waved to friends as the went to their homes, I unlocked the front door, I walked in, as my Mum walked out of the livingroom, “hi sweetheart, did you have a good day?” Mum asked, I nodded and smiled slightly, “Come into the livingroom, I want you to meet some people” Mum said, I looked at her in confusion, but followed her anyway.

Inside the livingroom, I looked around until my eyes landed on five people who I've always wanted to meet, “Lilac, these are my old friends from Lafayette, Indiana, Axl and Izzy, though I don't think a need to introduce them, given how much GnR merchandise you have” Mum said, I went as red as Axl’s hair, I wacked my Mum on the arm and gave her a look that clearly said ‘shut it woman’.

“You’ll have to forgive Lilac, she's shy and never talks to anyone” my Mum said looking at her friends, “it’s fine” Axl said, I was looking at Slash, he was so cuter in real life, Slash looked at me but I looked down instantly, I heard him chuckling quietly, if I was in love with him earlier then I fell in love with him all over again after hearing that sound, “Lilac has very little confidence, even though she's immensely talented” my Mum said, ‘Mum shut up, they don't need to hear that’ I thought, “would she be able to join your 2016/17 reunion tour?” my Mum asked, my head snapped up in fear, ‘i’ve never been away from England’ I thought.

“We’d be happy take her on board” Steven said. 

Mum looked at me out of the corner of her eyes, to look at my reaction, “the tour starts in a month but Lilac could stay at our mansion in LA” Duff said, I nodded in excitement, “go and pack then darling” Slash said, I blushed and was out of the room faster than could say: Paradise City.

When I was upstairs packing, I heard my mum talking to Slash, right outside my door, “i’ll warn you Slash, Lilac had a thing for you, and she genuinely loves you, if anything of that nature should happen, then look after her” my Mum said, “of course” Slash said.

I took my phone out, and texted my Mum;

To: Mum

From: Lilac

Message: you are aware that I heard you, you had to tell him that, he would even like me, who'd want to romanticly love someone who never talks.

I sent the message and continued packing when the door opened, I tried to act innocent, “are your nearly done?” My Mum asked, I turned around and nodded, “me and Duff will take your stuff out to the pick-up truck” Slash said, I nodded, he winked at me, I blushed slightly as walked to get my guitar, it was brown and black with the Appetite for Destruction album design on it next to the Bridge, and the GnR logo under the sound hole.

I took my guitar as Slash and Duff took my stuff out the pick-up truck, I looked at my mum as I stood at the front door, “good luck and be safe Lilac” Mum said, I nodded as Slash took my hand, I blushed as my Mum and Axl smirked.

The drive to the airport was quiet for me, I was squashed between Slash and Duff, we arrived at the airport, it was Liverpool's John Lennon Airport, I saw the GnR private jet, I'm in for one hell of a ride.

After everything was loaded onto the private jet, I quickly found a seat near the window, I was on my own until Izzy and Steven joined me, Slash sat next to me, “I hope you're excited about coming on tour with us” Izzy said,  I nodded in excitement as Slash wrapped his arms around me,  three hours into the flight I fell asleep against Slash
