História The last case - Interuption

I was really nervous when the bottle of Champagne got to the table. Nervousness wasn't  really my strong suit. I become moving around uncomfortably and slurring my words together. I poured her a glass of champagne and then poured me some.

     We made a toast to true love and friendship. We sipped the champagne until Cameron got close to the end of her drink. There laying at the bottom of her drink was a gold ring.

     I got up and went over to her. Got down on one knee. Before I got a chance to say anything I saw Sherlock standing by the front door.

     It just so happened that he spotted me and started walking this way. Cameron said "What?"

"Don't look now, but your favorite person is walking this way." I said while getting up from my proposal stance and back to my chair.

"My favorite person is..."

    Sherlock said "me."

Cameron said " I was about to say John...Oh my god, your him. The famous Sherlock Holmes. It is a pleasure to meet."

"Ummm...No."

"Sherlock...What are you doing here?" I asked about to lose my temper on him once more.

"I told you in the text. Narrowed it down to one suspect, John. We need to talk now."

"This can't wait until later. As you can see I am on a date."

"Oh...Mind if I sit down then and join you guys?"

"No...You may not. I was in the middle of something."

    Apparently, Sherlock didn't get the message. So I said loudly " I was in the middle of asking someone a question."

"Then please ask. I am not stopping you."

"John, just ask your question."

"Cameron..."

"Just do it."

     I walked over to her and got down on one knee. Cameron looked at me with a stunned looked while I took her hands in mine. "Cameron Huffman...Would you be my wife?"

I could literally feel all the eyes from everyone in restaurant staring at me. One of Cameron's hands went up to cover her mouth and was nodding her head yes.

     Sherlock than said "OK, congrats. Let's get back to an important matter here."

"Sherlock, this is an important matter. I just got engaged."

"Well to you that is important. To me this case is important. I need my blogger/partner on this one."
